About this service

IoT-enabled structural monitoring using tiltmeters, crack sensors and remote data dashboards. We design, install and manage monitoring programmes for buildings affected by adjacent construction, tunnelling, subsidence or ongoing movement — providing real-time alerts and trend data.

Crack and Movement Monitoring

We install wireless crack sensors and tiltmeters directly onto the structure, calibrated to detect movement at sub-millimetre resolution. Data is transmitted continuously to a cloud dashboard accessible from any device. Threshold alerts notify you immediately if movement exceeds agreed trigger levels — giving you the earliest possible warning of significant change and the data to demonstrate compliance with construction monitoring requirements.

Monitoring Programmes for Construction and Tunnelling

Adjacent construction, piling, tunnelling and deep excavation all carry a risk of inducing movement in nearby structures. We design and install monitoring programmes to the requirements of pre-construction condition surveys, party wall agreements and construction management plans — providing the independent, auditable data that engineers, insurers and building owners need.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

How sensitive are your crack monitoring sensors?
Our wireless crack sensors detect movement to a resolution of 0.01mm. Tiltmeters measure angular change to 0.001 degrees. Both systems log data continuously and transmit readings at intervals you specify — from every few minutes to daily. Threshold alerts are configured to your trigger levels and sent by email or SMS.
How long can monitoring equipment remain on site?
Our IoT sensors are battery-powered and designed for long-term deployment. Battery life is typically 1–3 years depending on the logging interval. We can leave equipment in place for the duration of a construction project, a planning condition or an ongoing monitoring requirement — and we provide regular data reports throughout.
Can monitoring data be used as evidence in disputes?
Yes. Our monitoring data is timestamped, independently logged and stored securely. It provides an auditable record of structural movement that can be used in party wall disputes, insurance claims and legal proceedings. We can provide expert commentary on the data if required.
