Who we are
ACUO Structural Insights is a specialist non-destructive testing, structural investigation and subsurface survey company. We help contractors, engineers, surveyors, property managers and insurers understand what is hidden inside concrete, beneath the ground and behind the cracks, so they can make decisions based on evidence rather than assumptions.
ACUO was founded in 2026 by Gary Stringer, who brings more than 20 years of hands-on field experience in NDT and structural surveying. Gary set up the company with one aim: to give clients the clear, reliable answers that experienced investigation should provide, without the overheads and delays of larger consultancies. When you work with ACUO, you deal directly with the person who carries out the survey and writes your report.

Our work covers the full range of investigations that sit between a question and a safe decision. We locate reinforcement, post-tension cables and embedded services with GPR and 3D concrete scanning before any cutting or coring begins. We map underground utilities to PAS 128 so that excavation and design can go ahead with confidence. We test pile integrity and assess concrete quality with ultrasonic pulse velocity surveys. We monitor live structural movement with IoT tiltmeter systems, and we record buildings as accurate, navigable digital twins using Matterport Pro3 LiDAR capture.
