Every sector has its own structures,
risks and constraints.
We understand the questions our clients need answered, and the conditions we'll be working in to answer them.
Car Parks
Multi-storey and underground car parks face some of the harshest conditions of any concrete structure. De-icing salts carried in on vehicles attack the reinforcement, and many car parks rely on post-tensioned slabs, where hidden damage carries serious risk. We provide corrosion surveys and half-cell potential mapping, chloride profiling, carbonation testing, cover surveys and post-tension tendon location, giving owners and engineers a clear picture of condition to support repair, maintenance and safety decisions. We also scan slabs before cutting, coring or fixing to avoid damaging tendons and reinforcement.
Bridges and Highway Structures
Bridges, retaining walls and highway structures are often decades old, poorly documented and exposed to water and de-icing salts. We establish reinforcement layout, bar sizes and cover where drawings are missing, assess concrete quality with UPV testing, and map corrosion risk ahead of assessment, strengthening or repair. Our work is planned around limited access and tight possessions, to deliver what's needed within the time available.
Rail
Rail structures such as bridges, columns, platforms and retaining walls frequently have no reliable records, and time on site is always limited. We use 3D GPR and cover meter testing to find out what's inside concrete elements without breaking them open, and PAS 128 utility mapping to locate buried services before excavation. Findings are processed on site so project teams can keep moving.
Heritage and Period Buildings
In listed and historic buildings, opening up the fabric is often disruptive, expensive or simply not allowed. We use non-destructive techniques including GPR, borescope inspection and Matterport digital twin capture to reveal hidden structure, voids, embedded steelwork and floor construction without damaging original finishes. Where limited intrusive work is needed, we keep it small, targeted and carefully made good.
Commercial and Residential Property
For managing agents, surveyors, landlords and homeowners, we investigate cracking, movement, damp and water damage to find the cause, not just the symptom. Our services include structural investigation, void detection beneath floors, drainage surveys, and long-term crack and tilt monitoring. We work alongside structural engineers to move from diagnosis to a practical repair.
Insurers and Loss Adjusters
On subsidence, movement and escape-of-water claims, clear evidence speeds up decisions. We provide independent investigation, void detection, crack and tilt monitoring and clear, well-evidenced reports that help establish cause, extent and the right remedial approach.
Construction and Civil Engineering
For tier 1 contractors, specialist subcontractors, ground investigation and drilling teams, we provide concrete scanning before cutting and coring, PAS 128 utility mapping, borehole clearance, pile integrity testing and structural monitoring during works, keeping sites safe and programmes on track.
